Your safety and comfort is our first priority

Traveling with a Wheelchair

The lift-equipped buses are designed to accommodate a maximum of two occupied mobility aids, while smaller model units can only accommodate one. The weight limit for the lift, including the occupant and mobility aid, is set at 600 pounds. The maximum dimensions for any mobility aid secured inside the passenger compartment is 38 inches in height and 30 inches in width. Whenever mobility aids are brought on board, some seating may need to be removed to ensure proper placement and securement. It’s worth noting that if a bus is already at capacity, we won’t be able to accommodate any additional mobility aids on that particular bus.

Customers with Disabilities

At Panorama Tours, we are committed to upholding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and providing accessible services to all passengers to ensure a comfortable journey.

To help us make your trip as pleasant as possible, please inform us at the time of booking if you or any member of your party requires specific assistance due to a disability. If you know in advance that your trip will include scheduled stops, please let us know beforehand, so we can better accommodate your needs. During rest stops, if you require any assistance from the bus operator, such as retrieving a mobility device or operating the lift, simply ask the driver, and we will be happy to assist you.

Our staff is always willing to assist solo travelers whenever possible. However, if you require special assistance of a personal nature, we recommend that you travel with a personal care attendant, as our staff will not provide that level of assistance.

Service Animals

At Panorama Tours, we have a strict policy prohibiting animals on our buses, with the exception of ADA service animals.

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a service animal is defined as a guide dog, signal dog, or other animal that has been individually trained to perform tasks or work for the benefit of an individual with a disability. These tasks may include guiding individuals with impaired vision, alerting individuals with impaired hearing, providing protection or rescue work, pulling a wheelchair, or retrieving dropped items. Emotional support and comfort animals do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

Owners of service animals are solely responsible for their animal’s behavior and must keep them under control at all times using a leash, carrier, or other appropriate restraint. Any damage caused by the service animal or any necessary clean-up is the responsibility of the owner. Service animals are not allowed to travel in the aisle or occupy seats that could be used by other passengers. They may not be transported in the luggage compartments under the bus. Please note that Panorama Tours reserves the right to refuse transportation to any animal that poses a threat to the health or safety of other passengers or our staff.

Oxygen and Aids

Oxygen containers can pose a serious fire and explosion hazard. However, personal use containers that are carried by the person (either on wheels or as baggage) are permitted on the bus while in active use. Please note that these containers cannot occupy any seats that could be used by other passengers, nor can they be kept in the aisle.

Passengers are allowed to transport up to two spare oxygen containers free of charge, as long as they are equipped with protective cases and safety caps and securely stored in the baggage compartment. We will not transport oxygen containers that are larger than 26 inches long and 4.5 inches in width, or that do not have safety caps installed.

If you require the use of mobility aids but are ambulatory, you may store your apparatus in the baggage compartment of the bus. Please note that you cannot bring such apparatus into the passenger area of the bus unless you are on a lift-equipped bus with designated space for mobility aids, and you remain in the mobility aid. Canes or walkers that can be folded and stored with the passenger or in an overhead baggage area are exceptions.

The maximum weight and size of any mobility aid that can be stored under the bus is limited to 200 pounds and 33”x33”x48”. If you need to use the onboard lift, we will make every effort to accommodate your request. However, please note that the availability of the lift will depend on our ability to safely deploy it in any given location or under any conditions outside of our control.
